Thousands of Narcotic Pills Seized in Kabul During Special Police Operation

Officials from the Taliban’s Interior Affairs Directorate report that the anti-narcotics police have discovered and confiscated thousands of narcotic pills during a special operation in Kabul city.
According to provided information, a total of 14,200 narcotic pills known as ‘Ka’ were seized by the police in this operation. It was stated that this amount of narcotics was collected from several different locations.
The operation took place in the jurisdiction of Kabul’s fifth security district; however, no further details regarding the exact location of the discovery, arrested individuals, or how these substances were transported into urban areas have been released.
While the Taliban administration speaks of its ongoing fight against narcotics, monitoring organizations consistently emphasize that transparency, accurate information disclosure, and accountability in such cases are essential to gain public trust and assess the effectiveness of these measures.
