Construction Progresses Rapidly on Standard Truck Parking Facility in Helmand

The Transportation and Aviation Department under the Taliban administration has announced that the construction of a standard truck parking facility (tirpark) in Babaji district of Helmand province is progressing rapidly.

According to the department, the project is being implemented with a budget of 30 million Afghanis and covers an area of 171 jerib of land; a space designated for the parking, organization, and servicing of cargo trucks.

The source stated that the tirpark’s design and execution incorporate necessary technical and transportation standards, with approximately ten percent of the construction work completed so far.

Standard truck parks are typically established to reduce disorder on the roads, regulate the movement of heavy trucks, and improve transportation services—issues that many provinces in the country have complained about due to their lack.
