100 Public Order Police Graduate from Taliban Training Program in Kabul

The Taliban’s Interior Affairs Department has announced that one hundred public order police officers have received graduation certificates after completing a capacity-building training program.

The training program included basic policing principles, military exercises, professional techniques, and ideological education. Officials from the department praised the efforts of the organizers during the graduation ceremony and emphasized the importance of training to improve the performance of police forces.

They added that continuing such programs is essential for enhancing professional capacity and improving police performance in the future.

Although military entities within the Taliban’s administrative structure provide training under the guise of education, critics view these efforts as a means to strengthen the authority of a group lacking international legitimacy and accused of human rights violations.

Human rights watchdogs have repeatedly urged the Taliban administration to focus on professional and impartial security training instead of ideological indoctrination, to ensure more effective protection of Afghan citizens.
