Russian Drone Attack Kills Two and Injures Dozens in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that a large-scale Russian drone attack resulted in two deaths and dozens of injuries. According to Reuters, the assault involved more than 200 drones targeting the cities of Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and Odesa. Ukrainian armed forces reported 30 separate attacks across 15 different locations. The mayor of Kharkiv confirmed one fatality in the city and damage to energy infrastructure. The location of the second death has not yet been determined. These attacks have caused power outages and heating disruptions in major cities, including Kyiv, forcing people to endure severe conditions amid temperatures as low as minus 16 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, U.S. and Ukrainian officials held talks in Miami concerning security guarantees post-conflict.
