FAO Monitoring Afghanistan’s Seasonal and Climatic Conditions to Support Farmers and Livestock Keepers

The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has announced that it is continuously monitoring Afghanistan’s seasonal and climatic conditions to assist farmers and livestock keepers in preparing for upcoming challenges.
In a statement, FAO emphasized that awareness of climatic outlooks and seasonal changes is crucial for managing agriculture and livestock in Afghanistan, as a large portion of the population depends on these sectors.
According to the international organization, regularly assessing weather and climate conditions can help reduce the vulnerability of rural livelihoods and enable better decision-making for farmers.
Afghanistan has experienced significant climatic fluctuations in recent years, repeatedly impacting agricultural production and food security. This highlights the importance of preparedness and strategic planning.
