Hashd al-Shaabi Intensifies Security Measures Near Saudi Border in Iraq’s Anbar Province
A security source in Iraq has announced that Hashd al-Shaabi forces have implemented unprecedented extensive security measures in the border areas of western Anbar province, particularly around the Arar crossing near Saudi Arabia.
According to the source, Hashd al-Shaabi troops have established a security belt in the desert regions leading to this border crossing to intensify operations in pursuing the remnants of the ISIS organization and prevent any potential movements by the group.
Based on the information provided, these forces are working to identify and target ISIS hideouts and their weapons. In line with this, the number of checkpoints along these routes has increased, and continuous monitoring of traffic is ongoing.
It has also been reported that Hashd al-Shaabi is continuously monitoring ISIS activities in the deserts of Anbar, and during these operations, several tunnels and hideouts belonging to the group have been destroyed.
