Gaza Civil Defense: Collapse of Homes Claims 20 Lives Amid Ongoing Airstrikes

The Gaza Civil Defense has announced that since the beginning of this month, at least 20 people have died in the Gaza Strip due to the collapse of 22 destroyed and uninhabitable homes, an event occurring amid ongoing airstrikes and the destruction of residential infrastructure.
According to local sources, Israeli military helicopters resumed attacks and gunfire on Palestinian areas in the northern part of Rafah, in southern Gaza, a few hours ago. These attacks have also targeted the eastern areas of the Al-Bureij and Al-Maghazi refugee camps in central Gaza.
Simultaneously, the Israeli army continues extensive demolition operations in the eastern Shaykh Radwan neighborhood in eastern Gaza City. Israeli fighter jets have carried out several airstrikes targeting Rafah city, and attacks continue in the eastern Khan Younis area in southern Gaza. So far, there have been no reports on the possible casualties of these attacks.
In a statement, the Gaza Civil Defense urged residents of uninhabitable buildings to evacuate these homes and comply with the safety teams’ instructions. This warning comes as many displaced families are unable to live in tents due to adverse weather conditions, with some tents destroyed by recent storms and rains. This situation has heightened concerns over the protection of civilians.
