Hamas Condemns Israeli Strike on Gaza School as Ceasefire Violation

The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has denounced an Israeli military strike on a school sheltering displaced Palestinians in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood of Gaza City, calling it a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement and a direct attack on civilians.

In a statement, Hamas said the Israeli cabinet has continued targeting civilians in the Gaza Strip for over two months since the ceasefire was declared, resulting in the deaths of more than 400 Palestinians. The group criticized the international community for its silence and inaction while what it described as a humanitarian crisis escalates.

Hamas also accused Israeli forces of intensifying the humanitarian crisis by blocking ambulances and medical personnel from reaching attack sites and hindering rescue operations. According to the group, these actions constitute a blatant breach of international humanitarian law.

The movement urged mediators and the United States government to take their responsibilities seriously and intervene immediately to stop the Israeli cabinet, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, from imposing outcomes that contradict the terms of the ceasefire agreement.

According to data published by the Gaza Ministry of Health, Israeli attacks since October 7, 2023, have resulted in 70,669 deaths and 171,165 injuries.

Since the ceasefire was announced on October 10, 2025, a total of 400 people have been killed and 1,088 injured, with the bodies of another 634 individuals recovered from the rubble.
