Snow and Rain Forecast Across 23 Afghan Provinces

Afghanistan’s Ministry of Energy and Water has announced that snow and rain are expected in Kabul and 23 other provinces from Friday through Sunday.

According to the forecast, the provinces of Herat, Ghor, Badghis, Helmand, Uruzgan, Zabul, Kandahar, Samangan, Balkh, Jawzjan, Sar-e Pol, and Faryab are likely to experience precipitation in the coming days.

Other provinces listed in the weather alert include Takhar, Kunduz, Panjshir, Parwan, Logar, Ghazni, Maidan Wardak, Kabul, Khost, Paktia, and Paktika.

While the ministry did not provide specific details on the expected volume of precipitation or its potential impacts, winter storms typically affect transportation, road conditions, and daily life in the affected regions.
