India Offers to Export High-Quality Pharmaceuticals to Afghanistan

Officials from Indian pharmaceutical factories and traditional medicine associations have announced their readiness to export high-quality, affordably priced medicines to Afghanistan. The announcement came during a meeting with Noor Jalal Jalali, the Taliban administration’s Minister of Public Health.

The discussions prioritized the sustainable supply of pharmaceuticals to Afghan markets, with the Indian delegation assuring that there would be no shortages across various regions of the country.

The two sides also explored the possibility of investing in pharmaceutical production within Afghanistan, a move that could generate employment opportunities and reduce the nation’s dependence on imports.

Afghanistan’s Minister of Public Health emphasized the investment opportunities available in the country and underlined the importance of public access to quality and affordable medications. He called for expanded bilateral cooperation in this sector.
