Kandahar Trade Delegation Meets Iran-Afghanistan Chamber to Boost Commercial Ties

A trade delegation from Kandahar province held discussions with officials from the Iran-Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce in Mashhad to expand trade relations and address challenges faced by Afghan traders. Kamaluddin Towhid, head of the Afghanistan-Iran Joint Chamber of Commerce, led the delegation and met with Mahmoud Siadat, chairman of the Iran-Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce. The meeting covered topics such as increasing facilities at border crossings, issuing visas for cargo truck drivers, easing the movement of Afghan vehicles within Iran, and developing joint investments. However, various restrictions and obstacles still hinder trade between the two countries, requiring serious measures to remove them and strengthen economic cooperation.
