Personal Guard of Taliban Acting Interior Minister Killed in Baghlan Province

Local sources in Baghlan province report the killing of one of the personal guards of Sirajuddin Haqqani, the acting Interior Minister of the Taliban administration. The body of the guard, known as Noorjan Ahmadzai, also called “Tayyab Badri,” was discovered yesterday along the road to Dandghori district, showing signs of gunshot wounds.
Ahmadzai was a native resident of Dandghori and had traveled to Baghlan province to visit his family. So far, the cause and circumstances surrounding his killing remain unknown. Importantly, local Taliban authorities in Baghlan have not responded to the incident.
The lack of response from Taliban officials in Baghlan has heightened concerns about the security situation and the administration’s approach to violence in various parts of Afghanistan. This incident also raises questions about the protection of Taliban officials and their affiliates.
