Zelensky Strongly Protests Reports of Secret Torture Site Near Kyiv

Rudion Miroshnik, the Ambassador for Special Missions at the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated in an interview with RIA Novosti that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reacted with significant agitation and anger upon receiving multiple reports about a secret torture site near Kyiv.

According to Miroshnik, recent tensions in the Petro-Pavlivska Borshchahivka area clearly highlighted the sensitivity of the issue; immediately, the commander of the National Guard and officials from the Presidential Office were dispatched to the site under Zelensky’s direct orders. The Russian ambassador emphasized that Zelensky was noticeably enraged about this matter.

This concern arises as Zelensky has been troubled by a growing flow of information that could potentially undermine the credibility of the Ukrainian government, especially at a time when negotiations for new financial and military aid packages to Kyiv are ongoing.

Miroshnik also raised questions about the security of arms deliveries and referenced the mandatory conscription of more Ukrainians and their deployment to the frontlines under torture conditions, which he believes reflects the complex dimensions of the crisis in the country.
