Anwar Gargash Expresses Hope for Diplomatic Breakthrough to Resolve US-Iran Crisis

Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the United Arab Emirates, expressed hope for a diplomatic breakthrough to resolve the Middle East conflict during the annual Manama Dialogue in Bahrain. He emphasized that the UAE does not wish to repeat past confrontations but is prepared to face worst-case scenarios.
Gargash also claimed that trust in Iran is declining and called for the restoration of transit conditions in the Strait of Hormuz to those prior to February 28. Furthermore, he highlighted the interconnected security of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states and warned that any impact on one country would have repercussions for the UAE as well.
These remarks come amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East, where the situation remains uncertain and any diplomatic developments could significantly affect regional stability and security. The GCC, comprising six countries including the UAE, traditionally emphasizes regional security and cooperation.
