Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Urges UNAMA to Publish Impartial Reports on Afghanistan

Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the deputy prime minister for economic affairs in the Taliban administration, called on the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) to publish analytical and impartial reports on the country’s situation at the opening ceremony of Afghan Red Crescent Week.

He stressed that the reports should not single out only the negative aspects of Afghanistan in a one-sided manner while ignoring the country’s economic and security gains.

The remarks came as international analyses and reports have largely focused on Afghanistan’s security and economic problems and have taken a critical view of the Taliban administration.

The Taliban administration’s deputy prime minister asked UNAMA to reflect Afghanistan’s broader realities in its reports and provide a fairer picture of the current situation.
