Russia Summons Belgian Ambassador Over Remarks on Military Threats to Europe

Russia’s Foreign Ministry said it has summoned Belgium’s ambassador in Moscow following remarks by Belgian officials about Russian military threats to Europe.

According to the ministry, the claims made about a Russian threat to European countries were firmly rejected during the meeting.

The Russian Foreign Ministry also warned that harsh remarks by some Belgian officials and the deliberate portrayal of Russia as an enemy would lead to rising tensions.
