Russia claims strike on ship carrying military supplies to Ukraine

Russia’s Defence Ministry has claimed that its forces struck a cargo ship carrying military supplies for the Ukrainian army as it was heading toward the port of Odesa, a claim that has not been independently verified.

According to the Mehr news agency, citing RIA Novosti, the Russian Defence Ministry’s statement did not provide further details on the time of the attack, the type of equipment involved or the extent of damage to the vessel.

The ministry also claimed that four locomotives used by the Ukrainian armed forces in the Dnipropetrovsk region were targeted by drones. No independent information has been published about possible casualties or damage from that attack either.

At the same time, Russian and Ukrainian drone and missile attacks continue, with both sides targeting each other’s positions and infrastructure. The continuation of these attacks, contrary to US President Donald Trump’s promise to quickly end the war, shows that the conflict between the two countries has still not ended.
