Taliban Say Transit Procedures Organized at Abu Nasr Farahi Border Crossing

The Taliban administration has announced the start of organizing the transit process at Abu Nasr Farahi port.

It said the ticketing system, vehicle identification and cargo declaration at Sheikh Abu Nasr Farahi port in Farah province have been organized, and control systems have also been activated for transit vehicles.

The issue was raised during a meeting between Haji Fazl-ul-Haq “Al-Jihad Akhundzada,” head of road transport regulation in Farah province, and officials of transport companies and a number of drivers at the port. According to the Taliban administration, the meeting discussed the transit road, transit market, vehicle scheduling, proper identification of vehicles and other related issues.

The Taliban administration claims that by regularizing the scheduling of transit vehicles and cargo declaration, facilities have been provided for drivers. The administration also says practical steps have begun to create a separate parking area for vehicles and build a comprehensive electric system.

Sheikh Abu Nasr Farahi port is considered one of the important transit crossings in Farah province and plays a role in the transfer of goods and the movement of cargo vehicles.
