Fire on Vessel at Qatar’s Al Wakrah Port Brought Under Control

Qatar’s Ministry of Interior said firefighters have brought under control a fire on a vessel at Al Wakrah Port, adding that the incident left no one injured.

In a post on social media, the ministry said efforts to contain the blaze were carried out after the fire broke out on the vessel.

Qatari authorities have not yet released further details on the cause of the fire, the type of vessel or the extent of possible damage.

Al Wakrah Port is located south of Doha, the capital of Qatar, and is one of the country’s coastal hubs.
