Workers’ Strike Disrupts Operations at Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport

Israeli media have reported that a strike by workers at Ben Gurion Airport has disrupted operations at the airport and halted the landing of aircraft.
According to the reports, airport employees went on strike in protest over working conditions and staffing shortages.
In response, Israel’s transport minister has asked airport officials to bring the workers’ committee before a court, so that what he described as an “illegal” strike can be brought to an end.
At the same time, Israel’s finance minister has also sharply criticized the workers who went on strike.
Ben Gurion Airport is one of Israel’s most important airfields, and disruption to its operations could affect air travel in the country.
