Abdullah Abdullah stresses unity on Afghanistan’s Independence Day

Abdullah Abdullah, the former chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation, has stressed the need for unity and solidarity among the people of Afghanistan on the occasion of the 107th anniversary of the country’s restoration of independence.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, 28 Asad, he said commemorating Independence Day serves as a reminder of the countless sacrifices and losses of the Afghan people in the struggle for “freedom, justice and equality.”

According to Abdullah, Afghanistan’s independence was the result of the struggles and sacrifices of previous generations, and the people of the country should work to build a better future while preserving unity and solidarity.

Abdullah Abdullah also called on the people of Afghanistan to remain united in order to preserve cohesion and solidarity in the country.

Afghanistan today marked the 107th anniversary of its restoration of independence from Britain, a day recognised in the country’s official calendar as one of its important historical occasions.
