Afghan Envoy in Kuwait Urges Kuwaiti Businessmen to Invest in Afghanistan

Mohammad Shafiq Khatib, the chargé d’affaires at Afghanistan’s embassy in Kuwait, has called on Kuwaiti traders and investors to travel to Afghanistan, assess firsthand the opportunities available in various sectors of the economy, and invest in them.
According to the Afghan embassy in Kuwait, the request was made during a meeting between Mr. Khatib and Ajij Khalaf, a well-known Kuwaiti investor, as well as a number of businesspeople and investors from the country.
The Afghan embassy in Kuwait said the two sides discussed Afghanistan’s security and stability, its economic potential and the existing opportunities for investment during the meeting.
According to the embassy’s statement, the meeting also stressed expanding trade and economic relations and increasing investment cooperation between Afghanistan and Kuwait.
Kuwait is one of the Arab Gulf countries, and economic ties with the country have in recent years been one of the focal points of diplomatic contacts by Afghanistan’s missions in the region.
