India Stresses Expanded Ties With Kabul and Ban on Use of Afghan Soil

India’s Ministry of External Affairs has said New Delhi has accelerated efforts to strengthen its long-standing and historic ties with Kabul, while also stressing that Afghan soil must not be used against any country.

Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for India’s Ministry of External Affairs, said that recently the ground has been prepared for expanding cooperation between the two countries in the areas of trade development and regional connectivity.

He added that India and Afghanistan have historic relations, and that New Delhi is seeking to expand these ties further.

India’s Ministry of External Affairs also reiterated that Afghan soil must not be used against any country.

In recent years, India has been one of the countries involved in Afghanistan’s development projects, and New Delhi’s relations with Kabul have always been regarded as one of the important axes in regional relations.
