Afghan Ambassador in Kuwait Discusses Trade Cooperation with Alsayer Group Official

Mullah Muhammad Shafiq Khatib, Afghanistan’s ambassador to Kuwait, has met and held talks with Mohammed Nasser Alsayer, executive vice president of the trading company Alsayer Group, on Afghanistan’s economic and trade opportunities.
According to a statement from the Afghan embassy in Kuwait, the two sides discussed areas of trade and economic cooperation during the meeting. The embassy said Mohammed Nasser Alsayer expressed readiness to travel to Afghanistan with the aim of expanding trade relations.
The embassy statement did not provide further details on the possible timing of the visit, sectors of interest for investment or any practical outcome from the talks.
Kuwait is one of the Gulf Arab countries, and meetings by Afghan diplomatic officials with companies and business institutions in the country have largely focused on attracting economic cooperation and expanding trade ties.
