Taliban Forces Seize 143 Kilograms of Opium in Badakhshan

The Badakhshan Police Command under Taliban administration announced that the province’s anti-drug police seized 143 kilograms of opium during a targeted operation in Argo district. According to the authorities, this quantity of narcotics was discovered while efforts were underway to transport it. In connection with the incident, one individual has been detained and will be referred to judicial authorities after preliminary investigations are completed. Badakhshan, located in the northeast of the country, has previously been reported as an area with cultivation and trafficking of narcotics.
