325 Afghan Migrants Released and Return Home from Pakistan

The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation under the Taliban administration announced that during this week, 325 Afghan migrants who had spent various periods in detention in Pakistan have returned to Afghanistan.

According to the ministry, these individuals included families, children, and single persons, who entered Afghanistan through the Torkham crossing in Nangarhar province and the Spin Boldak crossing in Kandahar province.

Based on the information provided, 156 people entered Nangarhar via the Torkham border, while 169 others returned through Spin Boldak to Kandahar.

The Ministry of Refugees added that the returnees were registered at transfer offices and, after receiving assistance from partner organizations, were transported to their respective home areas.

In recent months, the detention and deportation of Afghan migrants from Pakistan have increased due to a lack of legal residency documents or issues related to immigration status, and the forced return process continues.
