Germany Seizes 15,000 Liters of Fake Energy Drinks Produced in Afghanistan

German customs officials in Frankfurt have seized approximately 15,000 liters of counterfeit energy drinks reportedly made in Afghanistan, according to the German media outlet Welt. The shipment, which was discovered on Tuesday, August 4, was intended for sale in the French market after being transported through France. The haul included a total of 62,400 cans weighing 16.3 tons, with an estimated market value of around 100,000 euros. After confirming the products were counterfeit, German customs authorities destroyed the entire shipment. The production and trafficking of counterfeit goods, including beverages, remain ongoing challenges for regulatory bodies in international markets. Such products not only cause financial harm to legitimate manufacturers but also pose health risks to consumers.
