Taliban Commerce Minister to Visit New Delhi for Trade Talks

Sources have told TOLOnews that Nooruddin Azizi, the Minister of Industry and Commerce under the Taliban administration, is scheduled to travel to New Delhi, the capital of India, on Wednesday for an official visit.

The main purpose of the trip is reportedly to discuss expanding trade relations and developing diversified routes for exports and imports between Afghanistan and India.

According to the sources, Azizi’s meetings in India will focus specifically on facilitating trade for Afghan merchants and improving their access to regional markets.

The Taliban administration is seeking to strengthen trade ties with regional countries at a time when domestic businesses and the Afghan economy are facing significant challenges. Afghan traders have consistently complained about restrictions, corruption, and a lack of support for the private sector under Taliban rule.
