Yemen Air Defenses Force Saudi Fighter Jets to Retreat

A military source at Yemen’s Ministry of Defense announced that the country’s air defense systems targeted Saudi fighter jets, preventing them from entering Yemen’s airspace.

According to the source, whose statements were published by Al Masirah network, the Saudi jets were forced to retreat after the air defenses fired upon them.

These developments come after Saudi warplanes bombed the port city of Al Hudaydah last night; Yemeni sources described this as a continuation of Riyadh’s hostile policies against Sanaa.

The Yemeni armed forces have announced that they will issue a statement at 3 PM local time to provide details about a significant military operation.

Meanwhile, reports from inside Saudi Arabia indicate that early warning systems have been activated multiple times and flights at two airports have been disrupted. Media outlets also reported hearing several explosions.
