Over 10,000 Square Meters of Herat Carpets Exported to Germany

The Press Office of Herat Province announced that since the beginning of this calendar year, more than 10,000 square meters of handwoven carpets have been exported from the province to Germany.
According to this office, the total value of these exports is estimated at 103,000 US dollars. The Press Office of Herat Province shared this information on Wednesday, July 22, on its X page.
The Taliban administration in Herat claims that carpets produced in this province hold a special place in global markets due to their quality, authentic designs, and traditional weaving methods.
Herat is recognized as one of the prominent provinces in Afghanistan’s carpet weaving industry, with a portion of its residents making a living through this craft; an industry that has faced significant economic challenges in recent years across the country.
