Afghanistan Central Bank Deputy Meets ACGF Delegation to Discuss SME Financing

The Taliban administration announced that in a meeting between the First Deputy Governor of Da Afghanistan Bank and a delegation from the Afghanistan Credit Guarantee Foundation (ACGF), the topics of financing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and expanding financial inclusion were discussed.
According to the administration, Sediqullah Khalid, the First Deputy Governor of Da Afghanistan Bank, held talks with Derek Joseph Thiesen, the Executive Vice President of ACGF, and his accompanying delegation about technical cooperation, grants, and ways to enhance the private sector’s access to financial resources.
The meeting emphasized continuing cooperation to support SMEs, which in recent years have faced limited access to financial resources and economic downturn.
ACGF is one of the active institutions in Afghanistan’s credit guarantee sector for businesses, aiming to reduce lending risks and facilitate small companies’ access to banking services.
