Iranian Delegation Joins Kabul Industrial and Trade Exhibition

As the fourth Afghanistan Industrial and Trade Exhibition kicks off in Kabul, an Iranian delegation comprising officials and representatives from the chambers of commerce, industry, mining, and agriculture has arrived in the capital.

According to a statement released by the Iranian Embassy in Kabul on the social media platform X, the delegation includes heads and managers of chambers of commerce from Iranian provinces bordering Afghanistan. The purpose of their visit is to actively participate in the economic event.

Organizers have announced that the exhibition will officially open tomorrow in Kabul and remain open to the public for three days, running until November 20.

The Iranian Embassy also stated that Iran holds the largest share in the event, with 40 booths and the participation of 100 Iranian traders. This broad participation reflects Tehran’s effort to expand its economic footprint in Afghanistan, particularly at a time when the Taliban administration is grappling with isolation and structural challenges.

Foreign delegations continue to take part in economic events within Afghanistan, even as independent economic bodies cite a lack of transparency and the dominant security environment under Taliban rule as major challenges for the private sector.
