Pakistan Condemns Yemen’s Retaliatory Attack on Saudi Arabia

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has condemned Yemen’s retaliatory attack on Saudi Arabia, describing the action as a violation of Saudi sovereignty and territorial integrity. He emphasized that Islamabad maintains full solidarity with Riyadh during these critical times.
On Tuesday, the Pakistani Prime Minister posted on the social media platform X, stating that his country “strongly condemns the blatant attacks” against Saudi Arabia that took place last night. He noted that such actions contradict the principles of national sovereignty.
Sharif also affirmed Pakistan’s firm support for Saudi Arabia’s security and pledged continued backing for sincere efforts to enhance peace, stability, security, and mutual understanding in the region.
This statement comes after Riyadh carried out several strikes on Sana’a airport. Yemeni officials condemned the attacks as a breach of their sovereignty and declared that, in response, they targeted Abha airport in Saudi Arabia.
Yemeni Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree warned that these attacks “will not go unanswered or unpunished” and that Saudi Arabia must bear full responsibility for their consequences. The recent escalation has heightened concerns about the widening conflict and its impact on regional security.
