Millions Rally Across Yemen Against Saudi Attacks and Siege

Various provinces in Yemen have witnessed massive public gatherings in recent days condemning the Saudi-led coalition’s attacks, particularly the assault on Sana’a military airport. Participants in these rallies expressed support for the armed forces, emphasized the “legitimate right to respond,” and signaled their readiness to continue the battle.

Al-Masirah network reported that, starting several hours ago, a large protest took place in the Saada province, where residents described the recent attacks as a continuation of years-long aggression. Similar marches and gatherings were previously held in several other provinces.

In the governorates of Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Raymah, Dhale, Al Bayda, Taiz, and Amran, thousands took to the streets and public squares to denounce the ongoing Saudi attacks and the blockade on Yemen. Organizers of these gatherings issued statements affirming their full support for the leadership in Sana’a and the armed forces, calling for an end to the siege.

In Raymah and Al-Mahwit, tens of thousands strongly condemned the attack on Sana’a airport and expressed appreciation for the Islamic Republic of Iran’s stance in efforts to reduce pressures and help break the blockade. This gratitude was conveyed as part of official positions announced by the rally organizers.

In Al Bayda, besides public assemblies, students held a separate gathering, describing the recent attack as part of the ongoing conflict that began in 2015. In Hajjah and Dhale, participants stressed the need for an immediate response, urging the armed forces to implement deterrent options.

In Taiz and Amran, some gatherings were held in an armed manner, and participants announced a “general state of alert.” In Amran, it was also announced that military training centers have reopened and that a public mobilization program to pursue national demands will continue.

Overall, organizers of these rallies emphasized four main points: the right to respond to attacks, full delegation of authority to the Sana’a leadership, appreciation for Iran’s support, and readiness to continue the battle until the blockade is lifted and Yemen’s sovereignty is established.
