Drone Attack Attributed to Ukraine Kills Three Near Moscow

Local officials in the Moscow region have reported that a drone attack attributed to Ukraine resulted in three deaths and three injuries. The incident occurred on Monday, with one of the drones crashing in a residential area. Andrei Vorobyov, the head of the Moscow regional government, stated that the casualties occurred when a drone fell in the village of Pionersky, located in the Istra district about 65 kilometers northwest of Moscow city. He did not provide further details about the condition of the injured. Vorobyov also added that Russian air defense systems intercepted a total of 81 drones launched toward the area. According to him, this action prevented more extensive damage. The Moscow region has been targeted several times in recent months by drone attacks amid the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, with security repercussions continuing to unfold.
