New Water Supply Network Provides Drinking Water to 180 Families in Ghor

The Department of Rehabilitation and Rural Development of Ghor has announced that with the completion of a new water supply network in the village of Chashma-e-Sarkhak, Pasaband district, 180 families have gained access to safe drinking water. The cost of implementing this project is reported to be 5.4 million Afghanis.
According to information released by the Ministry of Rehabilitation and Rural Development, this network includes the construction of a reservoir with a capacity of 36 cubic meters, installation of 134 water taps, 20 solar panels, and the laying of 7,520 meters of pipeline.
Officials stated that during the execution of this project, temporary employment opportunities were provided for dozens of local residents. With the operation of this network, the inhabitants of the area, after years of water scarcity, now have access to a usable source of drinking water.
Pasaband district is considered a relatively remote area of Ghor province, where several villages face shortages of basic services, especially safe drinking water.
