Explosions Near French President Macron’s Residence in Damascus

International media have reported at least two explosions in Damascus, the capital of Syria. According to reports, these explosions occurred near the headquarters of the Syrian Ministry of Tourism and also close to the residence of Emmanuel Macron, the President of France.

Al Jazeera has reported that the location of the incident is in an area where Macron stayed during his recent visit to Syria. He recently traveled to Damascus and met with Abu Muhammad al-Jolani, the self-proclaimed president of the country.

Reuters has also confirmed the explosions in Damascus but so far no further details about possible casualties or damages have been released.

Syrian official authorities have not yet commented on the cause of these explosions or the possible factors behind them.
