Al-Kaabi: Attending the Funeral of Martyr Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei Equals Jihad

The Secretary-General of Iraq’s Islamic Resistance Movement, Al-Nujaba, has declared that widespread attendance at the funeral procession of Martyr Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei is, in his view, equivalent to fighting on the battlefields of jihad. Sheikh Akram Al-Kaabi described this presence in a statement as a response to what he called “the conspiracies and crimes of the United States and Israel.”
The statement said that participating in the funeral of “Martyr Leader Seyed Khamenei (may his soul rest in peace),” who was “martyred by the United States and Israel,” is no less significant than fighting enemies on battlefields. Al-Kaabi added that the massive attendance of people could be seen as a political and symbolic message to opponents and enemies.
At the same time, several tribes in Baghdad issued a call urging people to participate widely in the funeral ceremony of the martyred leader of the revolution. They described the event as an opportunity to declare their position and solidarity.
According to announced plans, the funeral procession of His Eminence Ayatollah Al-Uzma Khamenei (may God bless him) will be held next Wednesday in the holy cities of Karbala and Najaf. These two cities are among the major religious centers in Iraq and usually host large religious and political ceremonies at the regional level.
