Two Security Buildings Officially Opened in Kandahar

The Ministry of Interior announced the official inauguration of the Spin Boldak district police station and the fire department center in the Maiwand neighborhood of Kandahar province, following the completion of construction work. According to the ministry, the total cost for building these two projects was 24 million Afghanis, funded by the ministry’s budget.
According to provided information, with the opening of these facilities, the capacity to deliver administrative services and respond to emergency incidents in these areas will be enhanced. Spin Boldak is one of Kandahar’s important border districts, and strengthening security and emergency response structures there holds special significance from the perspective of event management and urban services.
The Ministry of Interior stated that the aim of these projects is to develop service infrastructure and increase the capacity of security and emergency institutions in Kandahar. However, in recent years, citizens have consistently emphasized the need for transparency in the use of public funds and practical improvements in security and urban services.
In past years, the Taliban administration has announced the implementation of several construction projects in security and emergency service sectors across various provinces. Nonetheless, the population continues to seriously demand evidence of these projects’ real impact on service improvement and responsiveness to residents’ needs.
