Three Arrested in Kabul Anti-Drug Operations

The Ministry of Interior has announced that following several separate operations conducted by anti-narcotics forces in Kabul city, three individuals have been arrested on charges of drug trafficking and sales. According to the ministry’s statement published today, Tuesday, on its X (formerly Twitter) page, these individuals were detained during investigative operations in Kabul’s 11th security district and in Bagram district. These operations were launched separately. The Ministry of Interior reported that as a result of these operations, 1,382 pieces of Zikp, a quantity of tablets known as “Ka,” over three kilograms of hashish, and a certain amount of heroin were discovered and seized. Additionally, an alcohol production factory in the area related to these operations was destroyed, and 24 liters of alcoholic beverages were confiscated by security forces. According to the ministry, the arrested individuals are currently under investigation and, after completing initial inquiries, will be referred to judicial and legal authorities for further legal proceedings.
