7,000 Narcotic Pills Seized in Nangarhar; Four Arrested

Officials at Nangarhar Security Directorate announced that during a recent raid in the jurisdiction of the first district of Jalalabad city, four individuals were arrested along with 7,000 narcotic pills.
According to the directorate, the detainees have confessed to their crimes and, after filing the necessary case files, have been handed over to judicial and legal authorities.
Nangarhar is one of the provinces that has faced challenges related to drug trafficking and distribution in recent years. Despite repeated Taliban administration statements about combating narcotics, reports of ongoing activities of trafficking networks in some areas of the province continue to surface.
The Nangarhar Security Directorate has not provided further details regarding the identities of those arrested or how they obtained this quantity of narcotic pills.
