Arab States Welcome Iran-US Agreement as a Step Towards Regional Stability

The United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Jordan, and the Gulf Cooperation Council have welcomed the announced agreement between Iran and the United States, describing it as a move towards enhancing regional stability.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement emphasizing the critical importance of advancing dialogue and diplomacy, as well as adhering to international laws to strengthen regional security. The ministry added that all parties must remain committed to the agreement’s provisions, including halting hostile actions, respecting state sovereignty, and ensuring freedom of navigation.
Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also welcomed the agreement, calling it a positive step towards reducing tensions.
In a separate statement, Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed hope that the agreement could serve as a turning point in supporting peace and stability.
Meanwhile, the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, while welcoming the agreement, expressed hope that the understanding reached would lead to resolving issues between the parties. He also praised the efforts of Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, as well as international support in this regard.
