Hezbollah Targets New Israeli Positions in Southern Lebanon Amid Rising Tensions

Hezbollah has announced that in response to recent attacks by the Israeli military, it has targeted several Israeli military positions and gatherings in southern Lebanon. The group stated that it struck a newly established Israeli artillery position in the “Mizra’at Sarda” area with a suicide drone and simultaneously launched multi-stage missile attacks on gatherings of Israeli forces and military vehicles.

According to Hezbollah, one of these operations took place on the southwestern outskirts of the town of “Majdal Zun,” where an assembly of Israeli military vehicles and soldiers was targeted. Additionally, a newly established artillery position in the town of “Al-Adisa” was hit with a missile.

In another report, the group announced a missile attack on a concentration of Israeli military vehicles and forces in the “Tell al-Sal’ah” area of the town of “Qantara” in southern Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that the country’s air defense system was activated in the “Kiryat Shmona” area. According to these sources, no warning sirens were sounded prior to the activation of the air defenses in the area.

The escalation of these clashes follows a recent Israeli airstrike on the southern suburbs of Beirut, which has severely threatened the fragile ceasefire between the two sides. These developments have heightened concerns over the potential expansion of security tensions along Lebanon’s southern borders.
