38 Killed and Injured in Traffic Accidents in Ghazni and Kunduz Provinces

Security officials in Ghazni province report that 31 people were killed and injured in a traffic accident in the Rozah-Kotal area of Ghazni city. According to them, the incident occurred around 10 p.m. last night due to a collision between a type 580 vehicle and a trailer truck, resulting in 2 deaths and 29 injuries.
Khalid Sarhadi, spokesperson for the Ghazni police under the Taliban administration, stated that the injured were transferred to medical centers for treatment. He cited driver negligence as the primary cause of the accident.
At the same time, another traffic accident was reported in Kunduz province. Jumauddin Khaksar, spokesperson for the Kunduz police, announced that a collision between a Corolla car and a Suzuki vehicle left 7 people injured.
According to him, the injured were taken to the Kunduz regional hospital and are under medical supervision. Officials also attribute this accident to driver negligence.
Traffic accidents on Afghanistan’s highways and roads continue to claim victims amid a lack of effective traffic oversight, poor road conditions, and disregard for driving rules. These challenges highlight the urgent need for Taliban authorities to implement practical measures in traffic management and road safety.
