Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce President Embarks on Regional Tour to Boost Investment

Sayed Karim Hashemi, President of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, is leading an official delegation on a regional tour to Uzbekistan, India, and Kyrgyzstan. The trip aims to expand economic cooperation and attract investment. The journey will include participation in several significant regional meetings and exhibitions.

According to the organization, Hashemi will first travel to Uzbekistan to attend the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum. He will then proceed to India to participate in the Bharat Buildcon International Construction Exhibition, followed by a visit to Kyrgyzstan.

Other scheduled events for the delegation include participation in the Afghanistan-Kyrgyzstan Private Sector Business Forum and the Shanghai Exhibition and Conference. These events are among the key economic programs at the regional level that provide opportunities for meetings between investors and traders.

The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment stated that the purpose of these trips is to develop trade and economic cooperation, attract investment, strengthen relations between Afghanistan’s private sector and regional countries, and create new opportunities for Afghan traders and investors.

Amid extensive challenges facing Afghanistan’s economy, private sector activists have repeatedly emphasized the importance of expanding regional ties and accessing new markets. This tour is framed as an effort to strengthen Afghanistan’s trade position in the region.
