Iranian Trade Delegation Arrives in Kabul to Boost Economic Cooperation

Mahmoud Siyyadat, head of the Iran-Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce, led a delegation of Iranian private sector representatives to Kabul to discuss expanding trade, transit, and investment opportunities between the two countries.

The purpose of the visit is to strengthen economic cooperation and create new avenues for developing commercial exchanges between Kabul and Tehran. The delegation is scheduled to meet with Taliban officials to consult on facilitating trade and goods transit.

According to information provided by the organizers, the delegation will also participate in a business networking event and bilateral meetings arranged by the Afghanistan-Iran Joint Chamber of Commerce.

Joint chambers of commerce typically work to bring the private sectors of the two countries closer together and to remove existing trade barriers. Such visits are considered part of these ongoing efforts.
