Tucker Carlson: Hormuz Strait Crisis Reveals Limits of US Power

Tucker Carlson, an American journalist and political commentator, stated that the US military has failed to keep the Strait of Hormuz open for the transfer of global goods—a situation he says reveals the limitations of American military power. He emphasized that there is no guarantee Washington will be able to change this status in the future.
Referring to the heavy military expenditures of the US, Carlson added that despite possessing aircraft carriers that cost billions of dollars to build and launch, the US military has not succeeded in reopening this crucial maritime passage in recent months. The Strait of Hormuz is considered one of the key routes for the transfer of energy and goods worldwide.
The American political commentator further said that what is now becoming clear to many is not only the individual limitations of Donald Trump, the President of the United States, but also the broader limitations of American power on the global stage. Criticizing Trump’s performance, he added that if a deal is mentioned repeatedly but never implemented, it cannot be considered successful.
In another part of his remarks, Carlson stated that Iran clearly supports the Palestinians and the people of Lebanon, and according to him, other countries watch this situation with concern but do not take significant practical action.
