Improved Vegetable Seeds Distributed to Dozens of Farmers in Behsud District

The Department of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock of Maidan Wardak province has announced the distribution of improved vegetable seeds, chemical fertilizers, and various agricultural tools to dozens of deserving farmers in the first sector of Behsud district. According to the department, these aids aim to develop home gardens and boost agricultural production at the household level. The program has been implemented with the support of a partner organization, targeting the improvement of local residents’ livelihoods. Home gardens are recognized in many rural areas of Afghanistan as a vital source of food supply and increased family income. Agricultural officials expressed hope that the distribution of improved seeds and necessary equipment will lead to higher yields and strengthen food self-sufficiency in this district.
