Taliban Forces Arrest 13 Individuals on Various Charges in Faryab, Jawzjan, and Uruzgan Provinces

The Taliban’s security command announced the arrest of 13 individuals in connection with various crimes across the provinces of Faryab, Jawzjan, and Uruzgan. According to the information provided, these individuals are being pursued on charges of theft and illegal possession of weapons.

Security officials stated that in a discovery operation conducted in the Qaysar district of Faryab province, an eight-member group was arrested on theft charges. Authorities reported that six motorcycles and several other items were seized from them.

Similarly, in Jawzjan province, two individuals were arrested on charges of carrying and possessing illegal weapons. In Uruzgan province, two were detained for theft, and another individual was arrested for illegal weapon possession by security forces.

The Taliban administration has not released further details regarding the identities of those arrested or the procedures for handling their cases. Meanwhile, human rights organizations have consistently emphasized the importance of transparency during arrests and adherence to the principles of fair trial—a concern that remains significant among citizens in certain areas of the country under current conditions.
