Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker Calls for Immediate Global Action to Halt Israeli Attacks
Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri has urged the international community to take immediate action to stop the intensified Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon. Berri emphasized that the current situation in southern Lebanon is a clear violation of the country’s national sovereignty and requires a serious global response.
According to Lebanese media, Berri described the continued attacks and repeated violations of Lebanon’s borders as a direct challenge to the authority of the Lebanese government. He stated that the international community must accept its responsibilities to end this situation. Berri warned that the continuation of these attacks could have broader consequences for Lebanon’s stability.
Alongside his call to international actors, the Parliament Speaker stressed the importance of internal solidarity. He said the sensitive current circumstances require all political factions to prioritize the nation’s higher interests over their differences and to strengthen dialogue and mutual understanding.
Berri also emphasized the need to reinforce Lebanon’s internal front and to stand firm against political, economic, and security challenges. He stated that Lebanon needs a comprehensive national approach more than ever before, one in which protecting the pillars of the state, its institutions, and the interests of its citizens is the top priority.
